I recently celebrated my two years in Korea, and I want to say thank you. Thank you to the Lord for leading me here, thank you to South Korea for accepting me here and thank you to my school my place of employment for being kind to me over the last two years. Thank you to all the fantastic friends I have had the opportunity to make in the previous two years and all the students I got to teach.
Being here has been such a blessing. I sacrificed a lot to be here but leaving the things I love so much behind friends and family I have gained so much too, and this fills my heart with so much gratitude.
I have a new appreciation for living my life and the life I have made for myself here the first time I had the opportunity to live out on my own. The beginning was so hard, but I am so grateful for persevering and starting over yet again. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Looking back I have lived a life in the short two years just being here I have explored Korea excessively my favorite places visited are; Busan, Bjindo island, Sincheon and Jeju Island. I have also traveled to the Philippines and Malaysia and heading back to Vietnam next month I am so excited to reconnect with new and old friends over there.
I got to experience so many things being out here that I would not have done otherwise for starters I started Muay Thai never in a million years would I ever think I would enjoy it as much as I do even though I feel like I am going to die after every class.
I officially joined an English Church and so grateful to be in a country where I can express my faith openly compared to many other Asian countries where it is not allowed. I joined a women’s Bible Study and made terrific new friends. Our women’s ministry just hosted a women’s conference last weekend, and I had the opportunity to share another first for me,public speaking and especially about the Bible something very new for me, but I got to do it alongside some other amazing women. The atmosphere was so full of love on Saturday, and we all left feeling refreshed and so much closer to the special community of women and God.
I have also lost 10kg over the last seven months so being fit and healthy is the new me and I feel good about my body again and finally loving me working on my body mind and soul. This new journey I have embarked on is one I am genuinely enjoying many things have changed and embracing it one day at a time as I know many more things will change in the future, but I am excited because I know that I am on the right path for me right now. One of the most significant indicators if I am doing well is noticing positive changes in the people around me. My goal is to be light in the darkness and give hope to those who need it, and if I can help spark your flame, I am so happy to do that.
I can’t forget I also re-branded this blog and changed up some content and hoping everyone who reads it is liking it. I know I have been a little bit quiet over the last few weeks, but I promise to be more consistent with posts.
If there is anything you would like me to post about please share your ideas with me in the comments, example;my weight loss journey and fitness plan, traveling tips, places to visit around Korea or my faith spiritual journey or any questions you have, please let me know, and I will be happy to reply.
So this is my little tribute to South Korea my home away from home. Hope you enjoyed this little update and I hope you all are doing great.
Peace love and Happiness!
