If you have read any one of my previous posts, you would probably pick up I make reference to YouTube more than any other person blogging, I am sure. I have been meaning to write this for a while but kept putting it off and after last night I knew exactly why now is the right time.
My Favorite YouTuber Louis Cole from FunforLouis is in Cape Town and last night at Cavendish Square he had a meet up. After watching almost all his video’s online, I know how crazy these things could be, so not knowing what to expect, I went after work.
Now I explained how dumb I was when I accidentally met Caspar Lee (South African YouTuber) in my Post called Bieber Fever is Real (here). Now I wasn’t prepared for that encounter and I tried to prepare myself for this one best I can by, not thinking about it.
So first things first Courteney couldn’t come with me because she was sick so I had to suck it up and go by myself. I knew I would kick myself later if I missed this opportunity. So I went and Miss Calamity Jane (me) arrive in the parking lot and within 5 minutes I lost my parking ticket (heaven alone knows how!). I spent 15 minutes furiously searching for it then I decided to call off the search and just go meet Louis and friends.
I went inside and found them. We all gathered in the food court, it was a bit of a surreal moment. A guy that I know a lot about and spent almost everyday watching since the beginning of this year, was right in front of me (I am not a stalker, lol). He came with friends, Ben Brown, another Youtuber I started watching, Dave Erasmus, Steve Booker, Nick and Simon Miller, who they’re staying with in Cape Town. A real cool bunch of people.
We were only about 20 people at the meet up and it was cool, strange for Louis because he was used to big crowds of people.
He said it is so much better when it is a small group of people because you can actually chat to them, compared to a large crowd spending most of their time in a line waiting to get a picture.
I didn’t make a complete knob of myself this time (I don’t think). I had a really nice conversation with Dave he was asking me why I enjoy watching Louis? My answer is, he is real and willing to show so much of himself online and his passion for what he does comes through on screen. He’s a real genuine guy, true to himself, exactly what you see on screen you get in real life. I mentioned through watching Louis he inspired me to blog. I am still camera shy but he said I should start to vlog and just give it a try as I have a nice vibe about me (sweet).
His fan base generally is between 13-yr old girls to about 18-yr old girls, a few boys thrown in the mix and a few older girls too (aka me). It’s amazing that he can be an inspiration to the younger generation who will soon be the leaders of tomorrow.
He truly inspires me with his care free take on life, his faith and good heart. I am so tempted to start a YouTube channel and document my life. It may not be half as exciting as his but I just want to make people happy and inspire them too. Life is so short and if I can bring one person a good message, it will make it all worth it. That’s exactly what he does in all his amazing vlogs and what Courteney and I are trying to do with our blog. This is the first Installment of My YouTube Addiction, I just have so much to share.
FYI; I didn’t find my parking ticket but it was the best R60 I’ve ever spent!

I am not suggesting your content is not solid., but suppose you added something to maybe get a person’s attention? I mean YouTube Addiction – Cape Town Meet Up | CherryHeartsblog is kinda plain. You ought to look at Yahoo’s front page and see how they
create post headlines to grab people to click. You might try adding a
video or a picture or two to grab people excited about everything’ve got to say.
Just my opinion, it would make your posts a
little bit more interesting.
