Today We say Goodbye to a Father Our TATA Madiba

An inspiration, too many people across the world, an Icon of leadership and freedom. A man who gave up his life to save ours, he’s the one and only father of the Nation Nelson Mandela.

I awoke this morning, to the sad news of him passing last night, it has been speculation for many that he has passed but the news just had to be made. I am not fussed about the politics involved with, when, what and why but more focused on the amazing person he was and good he has done.

My only prayer is that what he has done never gets forgotten and that we will continue to aspire to be more like this man. His gracious, humble and kind way. That the lessons he has taught the nation, we will pass down to the next. Yes a man now rests in peace and his reunited with his maker, but his legacy will live on forever through each of us touched by what he has done for us.

My heart is sore as I can feel the somberness in the city. My condolences goes out to his family at this time. I pray the lord blesses them with strength in this tough time, as I know they will be bombarded by media from every angle. I just hope they treat this in the most gracious way possible.

To the one true legend of South Africa I thank you for all you have done and paving the way for us to follow.  One thing he has taught me is that nothing is impossible.

Nelson Mandela; “It always seems impossible until it’s done!”

I sit here with tears in my eyes, a man I have never met but has touched my life in so many ways! If  it was not for him I would not have the blessed family I have today. I cannot even imagine a life without them. I am deeply grateful to this man today as the world mourns I would just like to say Thank You Tata Madiba!

To be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others, “Nelson Mandela… Mandela you have united our people to fight for a cause we all believed in FREEEDOM by doing that you have given up 27 years of your life for us that cannot be repaid to you or your family… Thank You for giving my generation and many generations to come FREEDOM you can finally rest in peace away from the world Hamba Kakuhle #RIPMADIBA
