The New Journey

Hello all you beautiful Sun -Kissed Souls

Where have I  been some of you may ask if you don’t follow me on my socials and only on here, you may think I died. News flash or spoiler alert this Queen is very much alive.

I have detached myself from this blog because I haven’t had much focus to be honest. I have been distracted by so much that has happened over the last 3 months. I fall behind sharing it all here and as I do, I get overwhelmed by content creation and then just don’t create anything. Anyone else out there who can relate??

Excuses aside I am back in Korea and one month into adjusting to my new work place and new City last month I moved to Busan. I honestly didn’t think it would be a big adjustment considering I was still in Korea. I have changed everything, I now work a 9-6 schedule I teach kindergarten and elementary kids and my work environment has completely changed.  I live in the mountains and I am slowly adjusting to my new life here, figuring things out as I take it one day at a time. I have my good days riddled with my bad and so I continue finding my Busan flow. I know I wanted to move and be challenged in a different way but the lord has led me here and I am willing to give it my best shot as I figure out my purpose here.

A brief recap of where I have been and what I have been up too since leaving Cape Town

In January I went to Bali and Lombok for a 2 week holiday it was truly the best thing I could have done after the busy time at home. I will be sharing my best tips for Bali and all I did there in the next few weeks. If you are planning a trip to Bali any time soon send me some questions I will be happy to help point you in the right direction.

I went on my first mission trip at the end of January to Laos to teach English at a school in a small village just outside of the Capital City of Vientiane. It was remarkable experience but one that came with months of planning and bad communication and then feeling extremely unprepared. This all made us depend on God more and use every trick in our teaching books  and we made it work. Just being there to share our love with these amazing young kids was enough. I will share a more in depth take on my trip in another post coming soon.

Then I spent a month off back in the cold Korean winter, On my friends couch. trying to be still and rest and prepare for my move and new job. I did a few speaking gigs at my Church giving feedback on the Laos trip. I enjoyed the familiar life back in Daegu with my friends and hated the cold after spending my time in the beautiful summer sun of Cape Town Bali and Laos.

This brings me back here to where I am at now, trying to find my flow, get back into a healthy routine and give Busan a shot. There has been few instances when I felt like I made the wrong choice but I am here now and my plan for the next year, is to be the best teacher I can be for these students and continue to grow, work on myself and keep building this community and work on more side creative projects and trips.

So my year literally started out all over the place and I am trying to get more settled now before the next great adventure. In the last four months on my break between jobs I have learnt so much about myself and learning everyday to keep God at the center of it all.

How has the year been treating you so far?

Peace love and happiness
